Sussex Wing Air Training Corps

Communications Training Team

ACP31 vol 6

Background Information

This is a compulsory module; cadets must successfully complete this before they embark on further training.

ACPs are Air Cadet Publications. Every aspect of training is covered by one or more ACP and many of them are available for download from the Headquarters Air Cadets web site or on this site.

Training Objective

The cadet should be able to demonstrate the use of a simple radio transceiver and an ability to operate an ACO radio using current radio communication procedures in use within the Air Cadet Organisation.

Enabling Objectives

Satisfy the Squadron Communications Officer that both a theoretical and practical knowledge has been obtained to the required standard. A simple procedures test and a basic radio exam set by the Squadron Communications Officer will suffice.
